Rachel is a family-oriented practitioner who enjoys treating both children and adults. Rachel has previously worked in the RVI Dental Hospital, the Community Dental Services, and as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at James Cook University Hospital. Working in many different areas of dentistry has provided her with a breadth of experience in many disciplines within the dental field.
Rachel undertook her dental training at the University of Leeds, graduating in 2014. She returned to the North East to complete General Professional Training with placements in all departments of the dental hospital in Newcastle. Rachel is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, completing her MFDS qualification in 2016.
Rachel works across all areas of general dentistry and finds it rewarding to develop long-term relationships with her patients while helping them improve and maintain their dental health. She is committed to providing high-quality care and supporting anxious patients through gentle, reassuring treatment, including sedation when needed. Rachel also has experience in surgical tooth removal and has recently completed Invisalign training.
Outside of work Rachel enjoys spending time with family. Her hobbies include swimming and walking. She loves travelling and her favourite destinations are Greece and Italy.
