Our Practice Plans are open to all our patients at both Fulwell and John St practices.
The plans encourage regular attendance, enabling us to spot problems before they arise, helping you maintain healthy teeth and gums for life. We will always check for signs of oral cancer, for early detection, at every examination.

Plan Emergency Cover
Plan members are offered guaranteed emergency care at Fulwell & John St Dental within 48 hours (of our opening hours).
Members can also access the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you’re protected from pricey dental surprises around the UK and abroad.
So whether you’re at University, on holiday, or simply more than 15 miles from the practice, patients can be reassured that help is available even on weekends and bank holidays.

What about NHS appointments?
We no longer provide NHS routine treatment. We do offer daily NHS urgent care for toothache and discomfort, by appointment only, at both Fulwell and John Street. This service is available to all adults and children
How do I sign up?
Sign up to our Practice Plan membership is open to all at our Fulwell and John Street practices.
To sign up at John Street call our Practice Plan team on 07460 786570 / 07460 790838.
Sign up at Fulwell is via phone only, please call 0191 5483822.
Is there a sign up fee?
Yes. Every new adult member will be charged a £9.50 sign up fee, which will be added to the first monthly payment only. There is no sign up fee for children or young adult plans.
What are your Private and Plan treatment Prices?
You can find our private pay-as-you-go prices and our plan prices here. Please note these are subject to change.
Are there other plans available?
Yes. We do have more tailored hygiene and denture plans. These will be explained, costs outlined and offered by your dentist if necessary.
What if I don’t want to join?
If you do not wish to become a member, we will happily continue seeing you on a pay-as-you-go basis. This means paying for your treatment as and when you have it, without benefitting from spreading the cost, discount on treatments and access to the Plan. Please note that we cannot guarantee appointments will be available to pay-as-you-go patients and they may not be with the dentist of your choice.Â
What about children and NHS treatment?
For a limited time only we are pleased to offer both new and previously registered children NHS dental examinations at our John Street practice. All children can still access our daily NHS urgent care appointments at John street and Fulwell. Please call us to discuss your child’s dental needs and how we can help.Â
