Since qualifying in 2006, Omar has built his career in general dentistry, beginning with his training year in Middlesbrough and then as an associate in Gateshead until 2016. He joined John Street that same year and has been a valued member of the team ever since. Aside from a short three-month period covering maternity leave at a private practice in Newcastle, Omar has worked exclusively within the NHS.
Training & experience
Omar qualified from Newcastle University in 2006. Postgraduate qualifications include a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry (Tipton Training) and accreditation in Invisalign and Six Month Smiles.
Knowledge & skills
Due to the shortage of NHS dentists at the moment with many people struggling to find treatment to relieve their pain, Omar is currently focused on emergency dentistry only.
